Chris Butler

Chris Butler has been working in the finance industry for nine years with a focus in options trading. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from DePaul University in Chicago, Chris worked at a financial network creating educational investing and options trading content for self-directed investors.

In 2016, Chris started projectoption, an options trading education website/YouTube channel that has grown to over 380,000 subscribers with over 26,000,000 views. Chris’s “Options Trading for Beginners” video has amassed nearly 15 million views, demonstrating a deep understanding of options and the ability to explain complex ideas simply.

In 2021, the channel was rebranded to projectfinance to provide a more comprehensive approach to teaching others about money and investing.

When not creating content, Chris can be found traveling with family/friends, scuba diving, snowboarding, slalom water skiing, playing guitar, reading books, or listening to podcasts.

Michael Martin

Mike was a writer for projectfinance. He has spent over 15 years in the finance industry, working for such companies as thinkorswim, TD Ameritrade and Charles Schwab. His work has appeared in the Financial Times, the Chicago Sun-Times, and The Buffalo News.
